Senior Town Planner

The Practice is seeking a qualified Planner with 7+ years of proven professional experience in all areas of planning, with a particular focus on development planning, master planning and environmental planning.

The successful candidate will have a proven ability to work within planning and design teams, and be able to demonstrate professional determination and willingness to grow, quality of workmanship and management skills. The role will involve working across wide range of sectors including large scale residential, commercial, and retail development, town regeneration projects, tourism, master planning and environmental planning.

The position is full time based in our Dublin office in Ranelagh, Dublin 6.

Key Requirements:

·     7+years post-graduate work experience

·     A recognised (accredited) degree/qualification in Planning and Membership of IPI and/or RTPI, or recognised equivalent

·     Extensive experience and understanding of planning and environmental legislation

·     Experience of providing strategic planning advice regarding project direction or forward planning related projects

·     Experience of working in a range of market sectors, for public and private clients

·     Experience of development planning, feasibility analysis, environmental planning, and lodgement of planning applications, appeals and submissions.

·     Experience in managing multi-disciplinary project teams across a wide range and scales of projects and be able to demonstrate good organisational skills

·     Excellent communication, report writing, presentational & organisational skills

·     Proficiency in relevant software including MS office, GIS, Adobe Creative Suite

·     Self-motivation, attention to detail and commitment to high-quality delivery

·     Capability to respond to tight reporting requirements, deadlines, and internal reporting arrangements

·     Strong inter-personal skills with ability to work as part of a wider in-house multi-disciplinary team

Project/Graduate Landscape Architect - Cork

The ideal candidates will have:

  • A recognised professional landscape architecture qualification
  • Ideally min. 2 years (but not essential) experience working as a landscape architect
  • Good interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good drawing (incl. hand drawing) and presentation skills
  • An ability to use AutoCAD, Adobe CS, MS Office etc.
  • Knowledge of GIS/BIM, Sketchup etc. would be advantageous
  • An ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team environment, taking directions and work on own initiative. 
  • Role based in Cork.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A recognised professional landscape architecture or landscape design qualification
  • 5+ years plus professional experience working as a landscape architect from concept development through to detailed design, tendering and supervision of on-site construction, with good all round skill set, combined with design flair and technical competence
  • Excellent interpersonal, project management and organisational skills, with ability to work on multiple projects and prioritise work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (experience of LVIA would be advantageous)
  • Excellent drawing and graphic skills (including hand drawing) with proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite & MS Office
  • An ability or desire to expand knowledge GIS/BIM, Sketchup etc.
  • An ability to work collaboratively and creatively within a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • A full, clean driving licence would be advantageous.
